Feature Film Development Grant
Awards $20,000 USD to One Recipient
Open to elevated genre feature film proposals by writers and/or directors whose work in front of and behind the camera aims to serve narratives that further Artistry, Diversity, and Equity and uplift those from historically underserved communities.

ApplicationApplicants must have a treatment for their proposed project as well as a feature screenwriting sample. Directing samples, if available, will be welcome to supplement the application but are not required. This project will be developed with Anarchists United Foundation. Finished scripts will not be considered.
Over one year, the AU Incubator Grant Recipient will be expected to submit the following:
The filmmaker will work closely with the Anarchists United Foundation Team and receive notes throughout the Grant Cycle. At the end of the Program, the filmmaker will turn in a final draft of the script and supplemental materials.
Artist In Residence Grant

Open to established filmmakers whose work in front of and behind the camera aims to serve narratives that further Artistry, Diversity, and Equity and uplift those from historically underserved communities.

ApplicationThe filmmaker must have directed a feature film (must have been distributed theatrically, or screened at an established US-based film festival), or written feature-length screenplays that gained industry recognition. We are looking at filmmakers with a strong body of work that must be reflected in their submission materials.
This program is an artist-in-residence program. The Grantee will have monthly check-ins with the Anarchists United Foundation Officers, and such officers shall provide industry support as needed in the form of creative meetings, industry introductions, and at least one strategic zoom with Lilly Wachowski, Lawrence Mattis, and Sarah Marie Flores. The Anarchists United Foundation team will be a support system throughout the year-long Grant Cycle.

Open to established filmmakers based in Chicago, IL whose work in front of and behind the camera aims to serve narratives that further Artistry, Diversity and Equity and uplift those from historically underserved communities.
The namesake of this grant, JJ (Jaqueline) Ingram was a caring and beloved Chicago-based producer, who sadly, was lost too soon. JJ was instrumental to the Chicago film community. It is our hope that this award honors JJ’s passion for the Chicago filmmaking ecosystem and continues to uplift her legacy.

A committee will screen applications and forward the top applicants to a selection committee. There will be one winner per grant each year.
Each grantee is awarded $20,000 to further their artistic endeavors.
